More Rose is a Rose

So I am still alive, I just have been working on something that's taking up alot of my time and trying to get stuff done when you have a sinus infection whilst trying to take no time off, means things are taking longer then planned.... But heres one of the cards I made this week, its the photo doesn't really do it justice, I went alittle cooky with the dimensionals as well which unfortunately you can't really tell in this pic ...

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

I used of course Rose is a Rose, Bella Rose DSP, the big french script stamp which the name currently escapes me, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss card stock and inks... Oh and Choco Chip ribbon, love that stuff!

A Rose is a Rose card one

Here's the first card that goes in the Card Keeper made last weekend.... I sooooo adore the classyness of this stamp set!

And again, sorry for the suckyness of the photo! Am trying to get my camera fixed! You can't really see from this pic but I have used dimensionals on the main rose and it really pops in person...

I used the Rose is a Rose stamp set, PP Card stock, Riding hood red ink and DSP, Bella Rose, LOVE LOVE LOVE that paper!!!!

I am also getting alot of requests for the purse I showed on my blog in August and but I failed to link where I got the instructions from! So here's the link...

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14002442#post14002442

I adjusted the length of the cardstock to fit the DSP, but you can change it up however you like!

Bella Rose A Rose is a Rose Card Keeper

A couple of months ago I had fun designing my card keeper as seen here http://stampin-shellz.blogspot.com/2009/07/introducing-and-sneak-peak.html and http://stampin-shellz.blogspot.com/2009/07/check-me-out-next-months-project.html and I was trying to think of something really glam I could do with A Rose is a Rose stamp set and this is what I came up with.... I haven't yet done the cards, I have been kicked out of the lounge so you'll have to wait until next time to see what goes inside!

I used Bella Rose DSP, Riding Hood Red Cardstock and the pink in colour that the name and the spelling of it escapes me, Chocolate Chip 5/8 ribbon and a brad from the Build a brads and also chocolate chip jumbo brads....

Thanks for stopping by!

I also used Riding Hood Red Cardstock and Kiwi Kiss Cardstock and ink....

Hope you like, thanks for stopping by! Oh and sorry for the BAD photo!

The Stampin' Up Thief

I thought it was about time to re-introduce the once little Asha. A lovely little kitten who is now 6 months old who is truely deserving of her nickname, which can't be said on the blog, but its a two worded nickname first word starts with L the second with a B, I'm sure you can fill in the dots...

Anyway, for quite some time my partner has been telling me he has seen her carrying off my RE-INKERS and my WHEEL STAMPS, and I thought surely not... but yes it is true... I busted her in my little craft cupboard that holds all my little stuff yesterday! And I wake up to find my RIBBON all over the floor, cards destroyed and yesterday I spent the night chasing her around the house coz she had my SPONGES in her mouth...

But who can punish such a cute kitty?

Urban Oasis Stationery Comendium

Check this little puppy out! This is my take on the Stationary Compendium, Kim Richards did a kit for us demo's awhile back and I just changed it up a bit... a couple of cm's bigger here and there and instead of a wee calender I made room for C6 Stampin' Up! Envelopes. Now if you're in Dunedin, and you are going "Wow I gota make me one of those!"

Trendy trees Wallet....

This is for my "stamp set Spotlight" class for the month of June
Come to a class and you get to make this cute little card wallet and some cards to go in it... If you pre-order or purchase "Trendy Trees" I'll give you a discount off the class price.

For more details about the Trendy Tree Spotlight class or any other classes email me on shellbellz@windowslive.com

If my class timetable doesn't suit you, don't worry... I can come to you!

I found the instructions on an american site and had to "re-do" it so it would hold nz size C6 envelopes... anyone who knows me knows I have to change it because what good is a card holder if you can't fit stampin' up size envelopes in it!

These aren't my normal colours but I'm really happy with how it came out!

Recipe: Windsor Knot DSP, Old Olive C/s and ink, So Saffron Cardstock, Sage Shadow Cardstock and I also used my newest favouritest tools, the Eyelit Edge punch and crimper

Always...

Before I give my little rant on my card, I'd first like to give a small rant... about SNOW.
Snow, pretty from a distance, not so pretty when you run out of fire wood and have moved from the Sunny, and Tropical Bay of Islands to Dunedin, down in the deep south and am still getting used to the COLD! Even the farmers I have been speaking with for my job were like, its too early for this (DOT DOT DOT) Anyway, while I wasn't walking around outside when it was snowing and depending on who you talk to it may have just been a heavy frost.... I still frooze my behind off... But then when I get into the air conditioned bus and I actually see the snow on the hills, I was like Wowwwwwwwwwwww Snow everyone who got on the bus would have been like who is this freak girl. End rant.

So anyone who comes visiting on my blog can pretty much guess 'Always' is my favourite... This card is only of the cards I had on display at the fundraiser I went to a week or so ago...

I just Not Quite Navy ink and c/s and Baja Breeze ink and paper and the linen thread and the Jumbo eyelits.... and deminsionals, not that you can tell from the photo though!

Bird on a branch take 2!

So this is the second lovely project I had on my stand at the fundraiser using the new Bird on a branch.... I tell you I really wasn't feeling this stamp set, but turns out it is super lovely! This project idea comes from Julie over at Paper Pleasing, and its a lovely idea, not only to fill with cards but anything, 'chocolate' was one of the most popular suggestions from friday night!

I used Vanilla and Not quite Navy c/s, the new Bella blue DSP, half round pearls from my pretties kit and Very Vanilla ribbon, oh and some brads out of the vintage pack... This project also uses the word window punch!

Now don't forget ladies from Dunedin, I am available to do workshops in your home, and I now have a table so can now do classes from my home! Contact me if you would like to know more!!

Back from Outer Space and Bird on a branch take 1

Yes, I am alive... I have just been AWOL for awhile, first with illness, then with adjusting to new job, then preparation for the local kindy fundraiser to which I had a stand. Hi Ladies!!!!!!

Take 1 is one of my favourite techniques I have done in awhile, I have always wanted to try it but it wasn't until the lovely Diane Bell-Robertson demo'd it at Reginals I thought yes I must go try that, so the very next day, out came Bird on a branch and this is what the result was!

I used Rose red, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze inks and I really like how it turned out.

ART SHARE / BLOG CANDY

I found this idea on Stevie's blog while blog hopping. I think it is a fantastic way to share our art!
The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice! For you. Could be a card I really am pleased with, an altered object or something else all together! My choice! This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be made with you in mind so you won't get something I already made unless I think it suits you to a T.
3. It'll be done sometime this year (I will want to get it done in the next month or so).
4. You have no clue what it's going to be.
5. The catch? Oh, the catch is you must offer this blog candy on your blog!

Re-post this on your blog, offer something you make - your choice - to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog (then come here and post).
Add my name to the #1 slot on your card- I am your first participant.

When you create your give away, you will become the first participant on the new list for the people who participate with you.

The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment here telling me they did (I will go to your blog to check that you have this posted) win a handmade gift by me. Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

SO ...................who will be the first 5 people????

1. Stevie http://createwithstevie.blogspot.com/
2. Cheri http://thepaperfreak.blogspot.com/
3. Shell http://akstamping.blogspot.com/
4. Kelly http://kelleast.blogspot.com/
5.

CD Holder

So I'm creating like a mad woman at the moment and I'm using up all my DSP's to make room for the new ones coming out on April 1st.

This CD holder uses In Colour Purely Pomergrante Textured cardstock, Purely Pomergrante Satin ribbon (gone) and Holiday Harmony DSP (gone)...

The CD holders are easy peesy to make, decorating is the hard part! What to choose, what to choose!

I can't tie bows very well, so i faked it! hehe...

I'm going to give this as a gift for my mum when she comes down in April, the CD's going to have loads of photos of her favourite child, hehe, jokes!
