His and Hers

So, same card, just different colours and sentiment stamp...  I'm addicted to using Kraft with Rich Razzleberry....

These are simple cards, but I think effective...  I'm trying that "clean and simple" look whilst channeling my Kristina Werner wannabe style... hahaha...

So, what's your fav?  The Urban manly colour one, or the Rich Razzleberry Cottage Wall one?

And, yes... I LOVE MY WHITE GEL PEN...

This is my attempt of a 'manly' card, using one of my fav sets,  Pocket Silouhettes and AGAIN with the Tiny Tags... never giving that set up!  I even got out my curly label punch for the first time in, well I think forever!

I think the technique I used was Emboss Resist????

Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

Oh and don't forget to check out the other challenge cards here:

Just Add Embossing

So this is my challenge card for "Just add Embossing"  It's using for the Bride and Tiny Tags, which I'm totally addicted to...  Not that you can really tell, but in this photo all the stamping has been embossed with White Embossing Powder, the photo doesn't do it justice, it looks wicked in real life, but the I'm biased.

Go check out the other challenges:

I was back to work today, and I asked my team leader if she understood my message I left for her last week...  I got a "Nope, sounded like some drunk and I figured whoever didn't show up the message was from them!"

Keeping it Simple...

I've been asked to do some Thank You cards, and I was just experimenting abit...  This card is a CASE of something I saw on the web awhile ago but I forget where!!! I used a different stamp set and different colours then they did, but I love the way it turned out!!!  "Clean and Simple" cards aren't something I'm good at and am pleased with how it turned out!!!

I love Fifth Avenue Floral and don't think I have ever used it in a way that wasn't involving Watercolouring!!!!

Now I'm off to prep for wednesday class on "Vellum"  I have been putting it off all week!!!

Take Two...

So I really felt my previous layout was abit half finished so here's take 2!!!!

I added a strip of DSP to the top and bottom, some faux stitching and a button and twine bow... and I think it looks much better!!!!

And onto something a little different... Two weeks ago I gave up Gluten and Dairy products due to cronic sinus allergies...  Within three days I started to feel better...

Well today I did my first Gluten free/Dairy free baking...  Yum Yum Brownies, and here's the proof!!!!

Stewart Men... Four Generations

So here's the male page of the four generations... it looks cool IRL however, after seeing the pic I think it looks unfinished so I may have to bling it up a bit...

In this picture in order from left to right is my lil nephew Cooper, my Grandad- Bruce, my brother Andrew and my Dad.  I think I may have to do some faux stitching just to finish it off though...

Just Add Ink Number 23-

So, I seem to be forming a habit...  Using the Just Add Ink challenges to build my scrapbook up!!!  This photo is very special to me so I wanted to do do something pretty...

I don't think there's many families out there that has 4 generations in one picture... This photo contains.... ME!!!  (I'm the baby!!!)  My mum, her mum- my Nanny and her mum - known to me as Nanny Stepho...

This is the first page that I have done that I have scrapbooked my Nann, and I was surprised how hard it was... Both of them died when I was around 4, so I didn't know them that much..  But from what I've heard from heard they were both lovely ladies, just check out their smiles...

So this what four generations of women from my mums side of my family looks like and later tonight I plan to scrapbook a photo that has four generations of blokes from my dad's side!!!!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Well I think its funny...

It's a balmy 7 degrees here in Dunedin this morning, and part of my morning routine is to eat breakfast when I'm surfing the net...  My partner was having his morning coffee and chatting to me just before he left to work when we heard this strange noise...  Instantly we thought... "CAT" where are they and what are they up to!!!  I swung around in my chair to find Asha the black cat sitting beside my BIG SHOT, batting the handle around and around...  Man that cat really likes her craft supplies, when we moved house I found her stash of my daubers and sponges!!!

Don't ever get a black cat people... they are CRAZY!!!!

Missing Mojo, Missing Stamp-a-mag-jig

It seemed during the moving house I lost my Stamp-a-mag-jig. I have been trying to work on something for the last week that I needed it for, but could not find it. Without it my Mojo was gone, I didn't want to work on anything else, I couldn't until my poor Stamp-a-mag-jig was found. I tore my new craft space apart over and over again... Until yesterday afternoon I found it. And it was in a place where, well I would never have thought to look and I really don't understand WHY I would have put it there. Anyway it's back and with it my Mojo so I'll be posting again soon... Darn this thing called work. It does ALWAYS get it the WAY!

Just Add Ink #4 and some moving ramblings..

Yesterday my buddy and downline Megan came over for an afternoon of cardmaking and gossiping.... I spent the first I dunno, half hour to an hour playing with ribbon trying to make ribbon roses... Almost six hours later we had made 5 cards between us... The new craft room was hampering our mojo...

We were determined to do some challenges, Just add Ink being the first... So here's my attempt...

Excuse the crappy photo but my desk is still not cleaned up from yesterday, but it's tidier then it was!!!!!

Oh yes and I have successfully moved, now when I say successfully I mean no broken bones... I have hurt my back but I knew that was going to happen and at least the swelling in my fingers has gone down from not wearing gloves when I use bleach... But at least my craft room is unpacked... almost!
