Always...

Before I give my little rant on my card, I'd first like to give a small rant... about SNOW.
Snow, pretty from a distance, not so pretty when you run out of fire wood and have moved from the Sunny, and Tropical Bay of Islands to Dunedin, down in the deep south and am still getting used to the COLD! Even the farmers I have been speaking with for my job were like, its too early for this (DOT DOT DOT) Anyway, while I wasn't walking around outside when it was snowing and depending on who you talk to it may have just been a heavy frost.... I still frooze my behind off... But then when I get into the air conditioned bus and I actually see the snow on the hills, I was like Wowwwwwwwwwwww Snow everyone who got on the bus would have been like who is this freak girl. End rant.

So anyone who comes visiting on my blog can pretty much guess 'Always' is my favourite... This card is only of the cards I had on display at the fundraiser I went to a week or so ago...

I just Not Quite Navy ink and c/s and Baja Breeze ink and paper and the linen thread and the Jumbo eyelits.... and deminsionals, not that you can tell from the photo though!

Bird on a branch take 2!

So this is the second lovely project I had on my stand at the fundraiser using the new Bird on a branch.... I tell you I really wasn't feeling this stamp set, but turns out it is super lovely! This project idea comes from Julie over at Paper Pleasing, and its a lovely idea, not only to fill with cards but anything, 'chocolate' was one of the most popular suggestions from friday night!

I used Vanilla and Not quite Navy c/s, the new Bella blue DSP, half round pearls from my pretties kit and Very Vanilla ribbon, oh and some brads out of the vintage pack... This project also uses the word window punch!

Now don't forget ladies from Dunedin, I am available to do workshops in your home, and I now have a table so can now do classes from my home! Contact me if you would like to know more!!

Back from Outer Space and Bird on a branch take 1

Yes, I am alive... I have just been AWOL for awhile, first with illness, then with adjusting to new job, then preparation for the local kindy fundraiser to which I had a stand. Hi Ladies!!!!!!

Take 1 is one of my favourite techniques I have done in awhile, I have always wanted to try it but it wasn't until the lovely Diane Bell-Robertson demo'd it at Reginals I thought yes I must go try that, so the very next day, out came Bird on a branch and this is what the result was!

I used Rose red, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze inks and I really like how it turned out.
