So long, farewell...

Well,  I have an announcement to make.  At the end of January I will no longer be a NZ SU Demo.

As you all know I went to Australia for Christmas, and yes the trip was extended coz we couldn't get into Brisbane but, we have decided to go back.

So on Monday when we went back to work we handed in our notice.  We finish work next friday and fly out on the 1st of Feb.   My partner is an Australian and has already scored himself a job.  All it took was one phone call.  We will be living in Bundaberg, QLD.

We have spend the last week selling off most of our belongs with the last things put on trademe.  All we are taking are clothes the pc and you guessed it, my crafty stuff!!!!  Max the grey cat went missing three weeks before Christmas and has not returned and Asha is getting flown to Whangarei tomorrow to stay with my parents as Brentons mum is allergic and we will be staying with his folks for a bit.

I will be sad to drop as a demo here, but my downline will be in good hands and will also be sending out a newsletter to my customers.

All is not lost though, my blog will continue as I will still be crafting, and as soon as I find myself fulltime work I will sign back up in Australia.

I would like to thank everyone for their positive comments on my blog and the friendships I have gained through the wider SU family :)

It may be awhile until I post again but I promise I will be back!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and floods!

Happy New year everyone!!  No pics to post as I'm currently in Queensland, AU.  Even though we had to fly from Brisbane to Bundaberg and were a day later arriving I'm enjoying it :)

I'm at an internet cafe and forgot my camera, so next time I will post some pics...  Seeing the flood damage from the sky was pretty amazing and luckily my partners parents house hasn't had very little damage.  The first couple of days were pretty crazy coz there was only one way into the CBD but the waters are coming down now...  My heart goes out to the people down the street who have lost everything....

I have been sunning it at the pool every afternoon and am tanning up nicely already.  Thanks to Brenton yesterday I got my first sunburn, but it's not too bad!

Off to the movies this afternoon coz its raining again!

See ya later!

His and Hers

So, same card, just different colours and sentiment stamp...  I'm addicted to using Kraft with Rich Razzleberry....

These are simple cards, but I think effective...  I'm trying that "clean and simple" look whilst channeling my Kristina Werner wannabe style... hahaha...

So, what's your fav?  The Urban manly colour one, or the Rich Razzleberry Cottage Wall one?

And, yes... I LOVE MY WHITE GEL PEN...

I think the technique I used was Emboss Resist????

Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

Just Add Embossing

So this is my challenge card for "Just add Embossing"  It's using for the Bride and Tiny Tags, which I'm totally addicted to...  Not that you can really tell, but in this photo all the stamping has been embossed with White Embossing Powder, the photo doesn't do it justice, it looks wicked in real life, but the I'm biased.

Go check out the other challenges:

I was back to work today, and I asked my team leader if she understood my message I left for her last week...  I got a "Nope, sounded like some drunk and I figured whoever didn't show up the message was from them!"

Keeping it Simple...

I've been asked to do some Thank You cards, and I was just experimenting abit...  This card is a CASE of something I saw on the web awhile ago but I forget where!!! I used a different stamp set and different colours then they did, but I love the way it turned out!!!  "Clean and Simple" cards aren't something I'm good at and am pleased with how it turned out!!!

I love Fifth Avenue Floral and don't think I have ever used it in a way that wasn't involving Watercolouring!!!!

Now I'm off to prep for wednesday class on "Vellum"  I have been putting it off all week!!!
